Complete How to: Get Music and Full audio / MP3 ringtones to your LG L1400 or .MMF Compatible phone.
First you will need a program that allows you to "cut" an mp3 down to a size that will fit onto your phone. I use a program called Power Mp3 Cutter. You can get a trial version here: Power MP3 Cutter Website Usually 12 seconds of a song is around 50kb or little less which is as large as you want to make the file. Larger than that gets harder to transfer the file to your phone. Once you download this you will just load up the mp3 on the left hand side of the program. (The folder icon) And on the right you will select the "start segment" and where you want the "end segment" to be. Once you get it just how you want it, save it as an mp3 at 128 rate. (Save all files to desktop, will make it easier later when converting) Then load this file up on the left. And on the right click select all segments and then save it as a Wav file. Once you get more comfortable with the program you will not have to do so. But for now this is the way i would go about it.
Next you will need a program to turn your wav file into a .mmf file. Yamaha offers this for free here: WSC-MA2-SMAF (Ring Voice) Do not open this link in Mozilla Firefox you will need to use internet explorer to accept the agreement. Once you get this program put a short cut on desktop. Then load the program up and just drag and drop the Wav file onto the box. It will then ask you for a title, name it whatever you want to show up as on your phone. Also make sure "save" and "trans" are selected as well as 8khz is selected. Or you can make it 4khz if you want to cut down the size. It should save to the desktop, if not go into options.
If you want to the same thing as above to a MIDI file and turn it into a .mmf file you will need the following program: Lets you convert MIDI files to .mmf and select voice types for different instruments.
Ok now we need to transfer it to our phones using a data cable or a WAP site such as: imserba <-- Goto this site on your pc... This is the site i prefer to use however there are others. Once you goto this site signup for an account and goto their forums. Then just make a post in the appropriate category. (attatch the file in your post) Then goto their WAP site. (wireless website) which is: http://wap.imserba.com or http://wap2.imserba.com on your mobile phone. And refer back to the post you made on imserba's forums and find the "wapcode" at the bottom of your attatchment. You will enter this number on your mobile phone in the text box that is displayed when ever you goto the wap site. Then you will hit send or search and it will show the file and just highlight and hit send key again. And it should download to your phone.
